$2,677 DONATED so far!

Our charity partner is close to Jo's heart. Jo comes from a family steeped in Tasmanian heritage, so to support a charity whose primary aim is to save the Tassie Devil and other endangered native species from extinction, and are undertaking this vital work at Barrington Tops just a couple of hours away from our farm, was an easy decision for us.

50% of the participation fee from Tails of Barrington Coast will be donated to Aussie Ark along with a percentage of the proceeds of the sale of the book when it is complete.

"Aussie Ark is located high above the beautiful heritage-listed Barrington Tops of NSW. The spectacular landscape of the property presents an island of intact highland forest surrounded by lands long-since cleared for grazing.

Aussie Ark is NSW’s largest independently owned and operated conservation organisation and is home to seven keystone species once found in the Barrington Tops of NSW. The vision of Aussie Ark is to establish a robust insurance population of Australian threatened, native mammal species such as the Tasmanian devil, Eastern quoll and Long-nosed potoroo, suitable for semi-wild release into large, predator-proof fenced sanctuaries in the Barrington Tops, for eventual reintroduction to the wild. We remain committed to saving the Tasmanian devil from extinction and now can apply this experience in building robust insurance populations to other Australian species in need.

Aussie Ark is an incorporated association, registered environmental organisation and charitable institution under the Australian Charity and Not-for-profit Commission." (Ref: Aussie Ark website)

HOW IT WORKS

HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1

4. Enjoy

Submit your Application

Click the APPLY NOW button on this page to fill out your application form and tell us a little about you and your dog. I'll review each application and be in touch to find out more and let you know if your application is going through to the next stage. We need to ensure we have a variety of different dogs for locations across the Barrington Coast.

STEP 2

1. Planning Consultation

The Discovery Call

If your application is successful, we'll have a brief phone or Zoom chat to talk more about your dog and their favourite public dog-friendly location.

You will then pay the $99 participation fee to confirm your booking for a once in a lifetime photography experience for your dog in their favourite place.

This will be followed up with a Planning Consultation closer to the photo session date.

STEP 3

2. Farm Photography Session

The Big Day - The Photo Session

We will meet you at the agreed location where your dog will have the time of their life showing us why they love it so much.

This is where we bring your vision to life to capture what you love most about your beloved dog.

STEP 4

3. Purchasing Appointment

The Big Reveal

A few days after your dog's photo session, we will meet again, this time over Zoom, for your reveal and purchasing appointment. I'll show you a styled video from the very best photographs from the session.
I will then help you select, customise, and order timeless artwork to be displayed in your home, bringing a warm fuzzy feeling each time you walk into the room!
This is where you get to put that artwork credit to use on your choice of printed artwork purchases!

about barrington coast

about barrington coast

The name Barrington Coast was inspired by an Aboriginal description of our region - "the place where the leaves touch the waters from the mountains to the sea". Also known as the mid section of the mid-north coast of NSW, Barrington Coast encapsulates the incredible natural diversity contained within its boundaries.

Applications will be open for dogs and their people who live, holiday or visit Barrington Coast and have a favourite place to play.

What better way to show off the region than by photographing a dog in their favourite location?

We envisage this book will become a great resource for dog lovers seeking adventure with their dog.
