BREED OF THE MONTH

Welcome to Breed of the Month!
Every month, I celebrate a breed of dog (or even other species!) to showcase their unique traits, characteristics, and colours. It's my dream to photograph all kinds of dogs and try out creative ideas to photograph a variety of dogs within each breed and show their uniqueness.
Whether you're a proud pawrent of a purebred or a mixed breed dog, join me in celebrating our shared love of dogs and show us why your furkid deserves to be photographed and remembered always with timeless artwork!
I'll be selecting up to three dogs each month to participate so this is pawfect if you've been thinking about having professional photos taken, but just haven't taken that next step to book.
Choose between a studio and outdoor session on our farm in Wootton or one of our stunning local dog-friendly beaches in the Great Lakes region of NSW.

HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1

Submit your Application
Fill out your application form below and tell us a little about you and your dog. I'll be reviewing all the applications and will select up to three winners each month. If you are shortlisted you will receive a message from me to book a phonecall so I can learn more about you and your dog, and take you through the experience process.
STEP 2

The Planning Consultation
If your application is successful, we'll catch up for a Planning Consultation where we will chat about your dog and plan a custom experience to enable me to create the images you would love, and book* a date for the photo session.
STEP 3

The Photo Session
You and your dog will spend an hour or two either at our destination indoor/outdoor dog photography studio on our farm in Wootton or at one of our beautiful local beaches. This is where we bring your vision to life to capture what you love most about your best friend.
STEP 4

The Big Reveal
A week or two after the photo session, we'll meet again for your reveal and purchasing appointment where I'll show you a curated selection of the very best photographs from the session.
This is where you get to put that artwork credit to use on your choice of printed artwork purchases.
*A $100 holding fee is required to confirm your booking. This fee secures your preferred time slot in my calendar and converts to an additional artwork credit at the design and purchasing appointment. No-shows or cancellations will result in forfeiture of the holding fee.
Thank you for valuing this requirement and allowing me to provide exceptional service.

TESTIMONIALS

KIRRILY - DOG PAWRENT TO:
JESSE

My dog Jes and I travelled up to the beautiful Barrington Coast in December for an amazing afternoon photo session on Boat Beach, Seal Rocks. 🌊🐚 At almost 17 years old, Jes is quite deaf, so listening to commands on cue is difficult.
Jo was so attentive and patient, whilst Jes wandered on this off-leash beach, exploring the rocks, water and sand. Jo was able to capture the most beautiful photos, that I will be able to cherish forever!
A true talent and a fellow animal lover, I highly recommend anyone wanting beautiful memories of their fur babies to book a session! 🐕📸

KATHY - DOG PAWRENT TO:
BOWIE, JEDDA AND PEPE

When Jo photographed my 3 dogs for her Tails of Barrington Coast book in 2021, it was a long-awaited dream come true for me.
I had admired Jo's photos from a distance for some years, but seeing her in action and how she connected with my dogs on their terms, not hers, (especially the reactive-fearful-aggressive dog) with so much patience and skill, was an amazing experience and privilege. Jo is an artist with a vision and her own style.
Of course, the photos are always beautiful, but seeing the photos of my own dogs, made me realise that Jo's true gift is to capture the essence of the dog's personality in the portraits.
I find myself sometimes talking to my dogs in the framed prints because I can see their soul in the image. Needless to say, I highly recommend Jo if you want something very special, and also for the future time when your dog is no longer with you. Just do it!
