Luna's Gotcha Day 2020-6

Luna’s 9th Gotcha Day

It’s my choice

This week’s theme in our pet photographer’s 52-week project is Photographer’s Choice, so I’ve chosen Luna’s Gotcha Day.

Luna’s 9th Gotcha Day means it’s the festival of Luna

Happy Gotcha Day to our gorgeous Little Luna!

Luna and I first met 9 years ago on the 20th of May. I went to Renbury Farm Animal Shelter to pick up this little vixen.

I’d seen her pound photo a few weeks prior and couldn’t get her out of my head.

Luna’s pound photo which compelled me to rescue her

I found a rescue group who put a save on her for me the night before she was due for euthanasia, after many sleepless nights of worry and searching for someone to help. I’ll never forget walking into the kennels and seeing her there, looking up hopefully to everyone who passed her enclosure. My heart burst to see her for the first time … I loved her already.

This little dog has brought so much joy, happiness and love into our lives, I can’t even express. We often talk about what her life may have been like before ending up at the pound. She was clearly treated well and loved as she doesn’t have a nasty bone in her body. She exudes love and innocence.

Luna loves everyone, especially kids, which makes us think she came from a home with children. It was also pretty evident that she had a litter herself … we often wonder where her kids are today and if she misses them, or even remembers them.

Last week she was diagnosed with a heart murmur and is on heart meds for the rest of her life now. We just hope and pray we have her in our lives for many years to come. She’s the clown of the family and everyone adores her.

I made sure I had a photo session for Luna on her Gotcha Day so now is the perfect opportunity to share them to the world to celebrate this incredible little dog.

We love you Luna ???

I hope you enjoy these photos.

I think Luna’s photo will look fabulous displayed as a 24×36″ framed canvas… what do you think?
