Through my work with Dog Rescue Newcastle, I provide photography experiences for shelter dogs at my studio. This Sydney-based company produces eco-friendly toilet paper and supports pet and wildlife causes with every purchase. Unfortunately, their shipping costs for many rural customers, myself included, have made it a non-viable option. Still, for city folk, it’s a no-brainer with free shipping for orders over $29 to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Geelong, Wollongong, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Hopefully, they get the shipping sorted so I can go back to supporting them. I’m purchasing mine from another online business supporting First Nations with 50% of the profits.

The Penny Marathon isn’t just an event; it’s a global movement to raise awareness and funds for stray and abused companion animals. Participants run, cycle, and more to support rescuers and rescue groups. In Australia, Penny Marathon regularly holds market stalls with incredible hand-made treasures for people and dogs. 100% of all sales go directly into their fundraising efforts, supporting other animal charities in Australia and overseas.

Petbarn Foundation

Established in 2012, the Petbarn Foundation has donated over $27m to help animal welfare groups and rescue organisations throughout Australia. It continues to support thousands of pets, animals and the people who love and care for them every day.

PetStock Foundation

The goal for the brand is to bring as much awareness to not only animals in need and the people saving them but the bigger issues that we face trying to end the tens of thousands of unnecessary euthanasia in our pounds every year.   They will do this by donating profits (and all the coffee they can drink) to help support these groups with food, vet bills and anything else they need to help save more lives and find that happy ever after.

A small independent store in Marrickville, NSW, sells books, games, puzzles, handmade, fair trade treasures, multi-tools, cushions, pop culture curiosities, t-shirts, and more. Rachel, the proprietor, fosters cats, buys responsibly, supports animal rescue by stocking some of the amazing Penny Marathon handmade treasures, and contributes 100% of the sale back to Penny Marathon. Rachel also supports local writers.
