Happy New Year…
and welcome to my first blog post of 2019!
I’ve joined a global pet photographer’s blog circle as a way to collaborate and continue learning and developing creativity as in this blog circle there is a weekly challenge every week of the year. So Week 1 of 2019 is “Shiny”. My goal is to make all 52 weeks, but we’ll see!
I started off thinking of shiny in the brand new year kind of way and on New Year’s Day morning we headed off to the beach early to take the #3dogkateers for a swim. The sun was gleaming and creating a nice shine on the waters of Botany Bay.
Then the last light of the first day of the year at our local grasslands… shining a golden hour glow.
I then switched to my macro lens for some shiny eyes, noses, tongues, lips and toe nails. I hope you enjoy these images… it was fun trying to interpret photographically with dogs and elaborate on the term Shiny.
Thank you for reading and please head on over to check out Darlene Woodward of Pant The Town (what an awesome name for a pet photography business!). Darlene is a professional pet photographer in the United States and she services Massachusetts and New Hampshire… a little colder there than here right now I would imagine!

If you would like to book a photography session for your dog please get in touch as I’d love to meet you.
